About The Founder

Cam Leaupepetele

In the summer of 2012, Cam created  CamCamp to create a positive outlet for kids in his community, many of whom didn’t have access to training, mentorship, or the opportunities they deserved. CamCamp officially became a nonprofit in 2015—providing free training, mentorship, and a support system where kids would always have someone to go to and someone to turn to.

“A kid on the field is a kid off the street.”

That belief continues to drive everything he does. In 2015, Cam took ownership of San Jose Hit Squad alongside Drew Deezy, transforming what was once a spring football program into a thriving fall program with consistent success and producing talent. As a highly competitive and respected youth program, many athletes from Hit Squad have gone on to compete at the collegiate level and beyond.

Based in the Bay Area, Cam coaches a highly competitive girls flag football program, and organized the First Annual NorCal All Stars 2025 Turkey Bowl - highlighting his ongoing commitment to the game and the next generation.

Beyond his own programs, Cam is actively involved in youth football events across the country, continuing to build connections, create opportunities, and grow the game for the next generation.

THE VISION BEHIND THE TOURNAMENT

This tournament is not just an event—It's the first of its kind in the United States, built to bring the TokoUso Unity Movement to the next generation. Inspired by the pride seen in rugby overseas, this is about bringing that same energy into youth football—starting right here in the Bay Area. At its core, this is about more than competition. It’s about family, identity, and unity. What started as a local movement has grown beyond borders, carrying deep history, culture, and meaning. Rooted in family, this event brings people from all backgrounds together while honoring the rich cultures and shared values of Samoa and Tonga. It celebrates heritage, unity, pride, and community—creating meaningful experiences both on and off the field for the next generation.

A movement that brings people together. A stage that celebrates culture. A vision that gives the next generation something to be proud of.
